I had a buddy in the USMC who was a sniper and could shoot a man over a mile away with one of those puppies in high wind. I saw him do it from a hilltop down into a windy valley.

You can get guys at over a mile away with .308, you should be able to get a lot more range with one of them!
I heard a story about how there was a siege or something, and the guys inside this building were hiding inside and shooting through the windows, and they just brought a guy down with one of those and a thermal imaging scope, and he shot the guys through the walls [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Dont know how true it is, but its pretty funny.
Nice rifle xeno, what ranges do you shoot that at? Do you load your own rounds? What powder/bullet type/weight do you use?

I actually haven't shot it yet. I've decided against that scope, so I put it on my custom Remington 700. I'm probably going to go with a Schmidt & Bender 3x12 PMII... once I get that I'll break it in and sight it at the local 200 yard range, then take it to a 1000 yard range that is a bit of a drive. Had to get one though cause of the ban.

I've got a 40 cal semi MP5 clone on order. Can't wait to get it. I love the 40 cal round. I would have liked going with the 10MM but figured I'd be better off with the 40 cal ammo since it's popularity makes it cheaper and offers more load varieties also. Don't forget to post a full range report after you test her out Mike.

Kinda curious, but under ideal conditions what is that unit capable of accuracy wise. Like could you hit a bullseye from 500 yards away without too much compensating?

If your sights are dialed in and you know what your doing that thing is accurate WAY passed 500 yards. I can do 500 yards with an M16 with open sights.
