Dude, I'm very sorry for your loss man. Please don't let this be the beginning of the end for you though....please. I too lost a friend to drugs and after he died i started doing the same shit he did to mask my pain. If my girl did not give me a punch in the face, i may not be here to write this message. Think about the good times and let it get you through. Addiction is one of the hardest things we as men will ever deal with. I've been there and after 10 years of sobriety, I am where i am because of my desire for more in life. You WILL get through it even though there seems no way out right now. Peace bro...we are pulling for you.

Straight is the way-the person you want everyone remember is the person he was without all the shit. You don't want everyone thinking hey he was a **** up just like the guy speaking, that is not making any sense-that shit is best left for after the funeral.

I lost my best friend 10 years ago and I still don't feel any better about him being gone. It leaves a hole in our lives when we lose someone close.

Now that being said stand tall a be strong and let everyone know the real man he was and what he was to you. Nothing wrong with being sad or breaking up when you deliver your eulogy-its hard and everyone understands. Tell everyone all the good things about your bro and what he meant to you while he was alive-thats what everyone will remember- My condolences to you and the family.

And on a side note -take care of yourself-I **** my own life pretty good for some years after my bro died- You are still here and you have to live your life out for yourself and for those that depend on you-the last thing he wants is you to screw yourself because he died(what I did)

Sorry to hear about your bro. I lost another one of mine this past October and am still dealing with it. Lost about 10 to drugs and alcohol over the years and as a survivor of the craziness, I can tell you that I am SICK of putting friends in the ground! It is just not worth your life man. For everyone who knows and loves you do this...think about the pain you feel right now and remember it because that is what you leave behind when you give your life up to that stuff. Get some help and get away from it dude. There is nothing but pain at the end of that road. I know because I have been there an done that. It's been 14+ years for me and I am so grateful to not have to feed that monster anymore I can't tell you. My friends and family are grateful too. You can do it man. Get some help and live to play another day.
