Raycroft and Bergeron had a great year. Too bad they can't ride the momentum this year. There's more tragedies than one can shake a stick at with this strike/lockout.

I saw an ad for the Peoria Rivermen - maybe I'll have to get us me tickets!

Sounds like a plan. Hey, any word on the Bloomington team? Did the construction on the arena start?

It's not done, but it is supposed to be underway. The team discussion got a little interesting since the Rivermen moved to a different league - they had wanted a nice rivalry, but it's still supposed to be in the works.
Yeah i agree about it maybe hurting them. Bergeron has been playing in Europe i think, but Raycroft decided to go down to Providence and play with the baby B's. I think he has the potential to be the best Bruins goalie since Cheevers.
But my favorite all time is Bourque. Around here, he is our Gretzky. Plus now you can call him Hall Of Famer, Ray Bourque.
There will never be another Gretzky. Goaltending is just too damn good nowadays. Although the NHL could open up the game by getting rid of offsides and two-line passing.
If you take away offsides and two-line passing, what rules are left?
I'd like to see, in NHL hockey, a return to passing the puck around the ice. This dump & run crap drives me nuts and takes away from the game. I think this is why I enjoy watching junior hockey - these kids are actually moving the puck around.
Well, there's plenty of rules left. They're just all geared towards preventing the players from killing each other.

You outta talk to Diane.. She used to run the toys for tots at the IRS and her job had her escorting the stars in for the day.. She has spent her day with Orr, Oreily, Bucyk etc
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes!~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~
There is a fellow here working for me who played junior hockey with Ty Domi. I'm sure you know who Ty is. My coworker, Harvey Ellsworth, is 6'1, weighs 260lbs and is pure muscle..a very strong man...and one hell of a hockey player and fighter. He fought Domi in their final year of Jr. and Harvey said he had Domi by the jersey, with one arm locked, and cracked him as hard as he could(which would kill either of us) square on the nose - and Domi laughed at him. Harv said he just kept pounding on Domi's face but he wouldn't drop or quit grinning at him and calling him a pansy. He also said that he had to trip Domi to get him off his feet so the refs could stop the fight.
Domi is a machine, no doubt about that. His battles with Probert are classics. However, I lost a lot of respect for him when he pulled a McSorley a few years back.
