Well after not paying taxes for 2 years I sat down with a real tax person and did my taxes for 3 years, well I got the call from him today while I was at the bike shop that I'll be seeing a nice return of $1500 from the past 3 years [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I thought I was gonna be screwed.

I owed in 02, well they lost my money order so when I went to file for 03 they said I never payed for 02, I said **** you Yes I did, so I never filed last year, and never "technically" did for 02, so I was kinda expecting the worst but $1500 is way cool

Sorry, but I don't understand this at all. You owed for '02 yet nothing was paid. Then you didn't file in '03 (did you not work?) What about '04?

In 02 I claimed more than I should've so I had less taken out of my check, so when tax time came I owed about $500, I only made like $19k that year, 03 I claimed the correct amount and made like $23K they owed me at that point, in 04 I made $31K and they owed me this year, it all comes out in a wash some how.

Tax brackets are really fuckin' confusing. You could make one amount one year, and owe...then get a raise, and be owed the next year...a whole shitload of variables man....totally confusing!
