Artists become eligible 25 yrs. after 1st recording, & judging by the list they have to be loved by the mainstream critics. I think AC/DC is about the "heaviest" band in so far. No Black Sabbath, no Kiss, no Priest, no metal, no chance that Dime will get in. Even if they inducted metal artists, I don't think they make any exceptions to the 25 year rule due to tragedy, or SRV would be in.

I personally say screw the Hall of Fame. Those bands you just mentioned are not only metal and rock gods, but have such an insane mainstream success that everyone, no matter what music you listen to have heard them all. If those guys are not in the hall of fame yet, it's a damn shame for them and rock in general.
