What a surprise...Snow

Getting nailed today. Probably have 4 inches already and it is going to keep snowing for the better part of the next 24 hours. Sucks because we had a warm spell for the past week. I just heard a car went through the ice at the pond down the road.

Anyone else snowed in?

We we're in the 12"-20" range here in Western Mass/Eastern NY. Woke up to nothing but rain. It changed to snow around 7 but it is so wet, and hanging around 35, that nothing is sticking. Now they say it will be a total accumulation of 1"-3". Looks like you will get the bulk Jim. A bunch of people I know took off to get some time in on their sleds also. It's been a hurting season for snow in this area. Every time they predict a significant amount of snow we end up with only a few inches max. It seems like the coastal areas of NE are getting it all this winter.

Same here. Rained for a bit and turned to snow. It is still kind of warm out actually. All those big storms this year never hit the mountains (or me). Worst we saw was like 4" when Massachusettes got a foot and a half. Just north of me looks to have the worst amounts, but I am right on the cusp of either getting around a foot or being nailed with a foot and a half.

Shred if you laid a lot of dough out on a sled you would be. lol It seems like all the precip we've recieved has been the kind that is just enough to make driving in it annoying. I'd rather get a decent amount or nothing at all. Snow blowing 3"-4" just seems like a pain in the ass. 12"-20" would make me feel better when the job was done.

The local weatheridiots here keep saying we're going to get about 3 inches within the next couple of days. This is after all the snow that we had has melted.

Amen Brotha! I just spent the last three or four hours clearing this damn driveway. It's huge, and Dad has a bear of a snowblower and a little garden tractor with a plow that's almost worthless.
I'll tell ya, if I end up staying here, I'm absolutely puttin a plow on my truck.

We got about six inches last night and four or more so far today. Saturday and Sunday afternoons I had the windows in the house open for a couple of hours it was so nice! The snow was 80% gone! What a strange winter. It's supposed to warm up again this weekend, too!

It is clinging to the trees here. The branches are starting to really droop. I can even hear some melting. I hope this doesn't turn into an ice storm.
