Sorry man but one more Junkhead quote

You can't understand a user's mind
But try, with your books and degrees
If you let yourself go and opened your mind
I'll bet you'd be doing like me
And it ain't so bad
I keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me

You don't understand how huge an AIC fan I am. Me and some buddies did an AIC tribute a few years ago. I have to admit though, as Tommy said I was devastated when Layne died, but partially for selfish reasons too. I was sad for Layne, and very bummed because he died the way he did, but I was also bummed because it means no more new AIC material. Don't get me wrong, I think Jerry is awesome, but Jerry and Layne together were greater than the some of their parts.

Zeegler no doubt... it is true in many cases though... Axl and the rest of GNR (preferably Adler and Izzy included although Sorum is alright) Pantera (sorry damageplan didn't touch it and I ahve never even listened to Superjint and was not impressed with down) etc... the list is endless. You can look at Audioslave too which is marginally alright but the sum of Rage or Soundgarden are both netter without question

AIC was pretty damn special to me they were one of two real Grunge bands (being the better of the two) at the time. Pearl Jam are alright muscians mind ou but they are a blues rock band more influenced by SRV than Sabbath and the New York Dolls... Only Soundgaden and AIC were good from the seattle scene of the MTV 90's IMO and not only were both good AIC was great

I have been an AIC fan since Face Lift. The harmony that Layne and Jerry had on vocals was eerie (usually in 4ths) and fit the music perfectly. I wish they would do a reunion tour with or without another vocalist. If they came even close to New England I would be there!!!

God Smack is an AIC song. I heard that GodSmack started as an AIC tribute band. I'm not that much closer to Boston than you Toe, but that is what I heard.

I know God Smack is an AIC song, but I read in an interview that one of the guys in the band was joking around and making fun of one of the other guys at rehearsal. The next day, the guy came in with a huge cold sore on his lip and someone said that God smacked him for making fun of the other guy the day before. They said that's how they got the name.

Yeah Jam I have heard that before but if they sounded like teh Los Lonely boys I wuld accept it wasn't a rip off but they sounded like they were trying to rip off AIC... I have also heard they started out as an AIC cover band don't know if that is true but I know they sure were trying to sound like AIC

ALICE in my unhumble opinion blows the dorrs off of all the other seattle bands put together. i love chris cornell's voice from soundgarden, but nobody can touch the mighty chains gang. Alice and The Black Crowes are my two favorite '90s bands. period.

Ditto! I get so pissed when the early 90s Seattle bands are talked about and AIC always seems to get barely mentioned. F*** Nirvana! Blowing his brains out at the height of their popularity was the smartest thing Cobain could have done to immortalize himself. Otherwise, they would have just faded away like the rest of the grunge bands.

BTW - yes, Dirt is one of the best albums of the 90s (if not all-time!).
