I normally don't keep track but since its tax time and all I decided to add up everything I can remember and I'm a bit surprised that I spent that kinda of coin on a hobby! Yikes....$8950. Am I infugginsane? I'm sure thats pocket change to some people but seems a little high for me. Still cheaper than drugs, booze, tiddy dancers and mistresses [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] (what I tell my wife anyway)

Does anyone ever keep track of the money they spend on gear?

Man...I can't even touch that figure I don't think.

Just a guestimate on my end, but I spent around $6k or so throughout the year on gear.

That's really the only bitch I have about serving in the Military is the salaries of mid-level SNCO's and Officers isn't nearly what a equivalent civilian with the same qualificatins etc. would receive on the "outside".

Hopefully this year I can zero in on a few guitars that I want to find and go after them [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] </font>

SS gear whores. Yeah, if added up the the amount I dumped in the last year.. I think I would be appalled considering I played and gigged with one guitar and a couple amps for almost 15 years. Some people put it into stocks..I put it into gear that clutters the spare bedroom.

I'm in the negative for what's spent on gear this past fuckin' year....I officially hate my life!

I spent $1500 in April on my LP Custom Lite that I no longer have anyway.

I spent around £400. That includes a really good new amp and a really good 7 string. Not bad [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

it was straight cash [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] (mostly all used gear off eBay) and it went up a little more as I remembered an acoustic some other stuff. I'm not a flipper so no gear subtractions in 04, I normally keep everything I buy. Only exception in recent years was the JCF-01. The amp bug got me last year I bought only 2 guitars a GMW and a cheap Ovation AE.

The only thing for me in 05 is a SLO and a Dean ML and I'm in no hurry at least until I find out what is in store for my taxes [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Compared to what I spent on music gear this past year, I should of kept the mistress instead.... Would of been much, much cheaper.

In Canadian dollars, about $1,000 for my Jackson Shannon Soloist and $2,400 for my Taylor K14c acoustic. But, I sold my four previous guitars, totalling about $1,000 there.

And I lost track of how much money I spent on "small" guitar purchases, like strings/picks/pickups/accessories.

Got an LP coming... I swear I won't buy anything else in 2005. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that the answer may incriminate me! (Including deposits, tech work and guitars I am easily in the $5k range - sh!t, I had not really thought about it - Thanks).
