Why I think Valentine's Day is kinda lame -

Well my girlfriend is going to the doctor monday morning to get Cortozone (sp?) shots in both of her wrists (carpal tunnel syndrome, she plays cello). I'm going to do the whole flowers and candy thing because she likes flowers and I like candy, but more importantly I'm going to help her since she won't be able to really do anything with her hands. I don't think it will be lame at all, but that's just me.
Here's a side note: I thought men are supposed to be better with numbers than women...Why can't most of us remember dates? I don't understand at all. I can easily remember just about anything. I know when our first date was (and where it was, what she was wearing, the weather that day, etc), first kiss, first I Love You, her birthday, her mom's birthday, her sister's birthday, whatever. I also remember a bunch of details about guitars, amps, cars, computers, snowmobiles, Nikola Tesla, a whole bunch of different bands. It's not that hard to remember things, what's the big deal?

Cheer up, Newc! The bright side of loneliness is, you might not own most of your guitars if you had a steady gf or wife! Lots of people are together just to avoid being alone, a compromise that sucks. It's why half the couples that marry divorce, and many more just bicker their lives away.Or you could do like Wulfie13 and go get a Filipina Interweb bride! He got him a real cutie! Might take her 5 years to Americanize enough to say, "NEWCIE!! I want HALF!!!" but til then it'd be good!!

How about you make a list- one for the uber cool Jackson, one for the Pod thingy. Under each toy list what you will get out of it and weigh the benefits of each. Then decide.

Em, for the record iPods are MP3 players that you can store upto 10,000 songs on(roughly 800 CD's)
No problem, I was just being a bit goofy with the items. I mean I am comparing a $4000 Custom shop jackson guitar to a $400 MP3 player. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I may have to compromise a bit!!
To be quite honest, I like the idea. I think am gonna order than ipod though. I like your concept of treating yourself to a gift if alone on valentines day. I may just do that. I have been wanting an iPod for a while now, in fact I just got a coupon for $30 off an iPod that expires soon, so it looks like its time to get one!!! I can store my entire catalog of music on it and listen to it ANYWHERE! ON head phones, in the car, at home, studio, ANYWHERE!! I have already got iTunes and been buying songs online than I can transfer to it also, so I am all set for the iPod.

I totally think that one should buy themselves presents, and not just when you aren't expecting to receive one either. For example, birthday.
