And if you are not in a special relationship with someone then you get some sort of free prize on V-Day.

If you are in a relationship with a significant other, and do have an anniversary of some sort that does not fall on V-Day, then you can still celebrate on the default holiday (V-day) if you both want to. But you're not obligated to.

Em, the Jackson I am gassing over is a custom shop idea I have had in the back of my mind for some time now. Double neck Jackson dinky (bolt on necks). 12 string on top neck, 6 string on bottom neck, (6 tuners on body for upper neck to allow standard headstock) flamed maple oil finish necks, flamed maple fretboards with abalone sharkfins, string thru body. 24 frets, 25.5 scale, quilt maple top with cherry burst finish on body and headstocks, all chrome hardware, jackson logo in abalone, binding on headstocks, necks, and body. duncan pickups. that should give you a general idea... there are a few details like pickup models I have to decide yet. but you get the idea.

Instead of whining and bickering like old maids, why not do something about it? I kinda used to be the same way, and obviously it's worse as a teenager. I'm now in my 20s and have some perspective. Today was a fantastic day that I never would have thought would turn out so good. Nothing really romantic happened, except I gave that girl my origami paper rose, which she accepted with a huge smile and a big thank you. Let's see what happens out of that. But, I never would get a chance to know if I didn't try something new.
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone... and I actually mean that.
I'm 32 and I'm still bitter... it's definitely because of my ex-wife. Relationships are a hassle and I've chosen not to even bother looking for a girlfriend. Being alone is just much easier and, unlike Newc, I've got no urge to own a gun or a noose. If I were still married, I might have that urge! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Let me just say that time is the greatest healer. Being single is DEFINITELY easier I'll admit, but I personally can't live my life knowing that I didn't try again. I don't NEED a relationship, but it may be fun trying again since it's been four years since my last one.
Okay Okay. Lemme explain. The concept is alright by me... the whole "lovey-dovey celebrate your romance" crap. Sure, I can buy that. It's nice to give your gal some flowers or y'all go out to dinner... blah blah blah.

I know there is some sort of history, St. Valentine... I remember something about some bloody murders one time too... I don't remember exactly.
But holidays like Halloween, winter holidays, and spring holidays all have something to do with a changing of the season or some religious deal... but Valentine's Day... I just don't get it.
Basically I think it's weird we all have to have sex on the same night all over the USA. And I think it's lame that lovers HAVE to buy each other stuff that is red and heart shaped or chocolate on one particular day a year. [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]

Thanks! I spent all day making it yesterday after discovering that the tissue paper I was originally going to use was MUCH too flimsy and wouldn't hold creases/folds properly. well, I have been told that about waiting too or trying too hard, but I think thats bullshit. You have to put effort into anything you do, and love is NO different. So I put ALOT of effort into it, and I have for nearly 2 years now. I will continue until I find the right woman. SO how did you make that rose? got instructions??
