Earnhart has a strong car and it seems to be set up good for Daytona. Stewart is also going to be tough. Safe bet would be Gordon.

Probably Earnhardt will win though-he just has the restrictor plates down and its not just the cars-

I'd love to see Jarrett win one more before retirement, but we'll see. I agree that Jimmie's going to be a strong competitor, but at least he gives Jeff Gordon a run for his money [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img].

I'm a die-hard Junior fan but the Hendrix cars are strong and we can't count out Ryan Newman. Also the Gibbs teams will give a good run too. Man, it's gonna be awesome!!!

Rudd and Wallace might be some peoples sentimental picks, as they are both in the "20+ starts with no Daytona 500 wins" category. Realistically though...Gordon and Johnson had some good plate cars last year. The 8 car was pretty bad this past weekend, but come race day he must be accounted for. Keep an eye on McMurray and Kahne too.

Yeah, saw Jr. during one of his interviews saying his car was good in the draft but shit in clean air. Hell, it's Daytona. Draft 'em all day long and maybe the car will improve towards the end or they can get it worked out.
