    Kick ass Vai quote

    I just got Guitar World and it's got Vai, Zakk, and Alexi Lauiho on the cover and interviews with each. This quote in Vai's interview is great:

        Shred is now cool again...

        Thanks to dudes like Alexi...I'm just waiting to see Jeff Loomis steal the new shred crown..I'm amazed it hasn't happend yet..but I'm waiting...it has to happen eventually.

        That was one of the main goals of Nevermore around six years ...to bring back the long absent "guitar solo".

        I'm just glad these kids want to play again...and take pride in their abilties..

        GW seems to be promoting this stuff once again...that's a good thing..

        There is so many amazing , unknown players out there...hopefully not for long.

        This was a great GW issue!!!

                  Vai's new CD is pretty cool.
                  I still prefer his older stuff in 80's and until mid 90's though.

                              While it is cool to play the shit out a guitar, sometimes its also cool to wander the stage like a drunken fool, with your guitar making the most god aweful noises from hell.....................
