OK, I'm not a baseball fan, but when I read this I finally fully agreed with the rest of the city in "good riddance to bad rubbish"

In the "what a dick" department we have Sammy Sosass.

"To his former teammates -- notably Kerry Wood and Mark Prior -- who say the Cubs are better off without him, Sammy Sosa offered a pointed reply Wednesday.

''I understand that they are saying right now that they don't need me. They lie,'' Sosa said after his first workout as a Baltimore Oriole. ''I understand they want to move forward and they feel they have a competitive team, but I don't think nobody can replace me. They can say whatever they want to say, but it is going to be hard, my friend, to duplicate me.''"

To Sammy I say, get over yourself!!!!

I've never been a Sosa fan, I remember when he played for the whitesox in the early 90's and he was a pompass ass, but oh well Baltimore always lays an egg so I'm not worried

I don't think Sammy's presence is gonna stop Baltimore from taking 2nd place away from the Red Sox though. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] Not enough to catch the Yanks though, but they may get within 25 game from them. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I expect to hear comments from Millar, Nixon, Schilling and Foulke on Sammy's boombox playing and the fact he has a Nintendo game named after him. [img]/images/graemlins/bs.gif[/img]

I have to admidt I am top of the chain Sosa hater but Wow did that Oriels uni look ugly on him. He is a loser and should have stayed with a Loser team like the Cubs... Not that Balti is any better lol

I have to say good luck to Baltimore on dealing with Sosa. Maybe now that he has to give up the 'roids his head will shrink to a normal size and his wife will want him for something other than his money. That man is all talk, of course I guess that's what happens when your balls are the size of baby peas. I may hate the cubs, but I like them more now that they got rid of Sosa.

Donnie, I like you. You are a good kid. But the Braves???? Man, they suck. But I can forgive you for that. Every year, the Cubs dry up like the cess pools in August, and the Braves just choke (That damn pitching staff gets too cocky). In the NL Central - It's all about the Cardinals. We sit back, let everyone else wear themselves out and make the miraculous return from the cellar. We were even nice enough to choke for the Red Sox. We are a great all around team!

Remember the 1996 NL Championship... That was fun watching the Cards choke 3 games. Or The time we won the 1995 World series or are coutless amounts of divsion titles and nl championships. I can't remember the Last time the Cards actually handed it to the Braves, Last year they were the Better team but we'll get everyone this year. PHILLIES ARE TAKING IT ALLLLLLLLLLLL.....ok I had to say that before the season starts and it becomes painfully obvious that they still suck.....whew I feel much better now.Ok lets just get the season going I am bored stiff.

You keep thinking that way. Positive thinking is always good. The Cards are notorious for getting bad calls. We've built the team up from nothing. The Braves went from a hardass team to nothing. That's what cockiness gets you!
