What's your favourite metal "guitar solo" CD?

I'm not talking about flashy instrumental albums or anything, but real metal albums with honest to goodness, consistent killer lead work.

The first one that pops into my head, is Twisted into Form by Forbidden. Truly an underrated masterpiece. Rust in Peace goes without saying.

So what else?

Well, I wouldn't call Van Halen "metal", but definitely one of the classics.

I love Vinnie Moores Minds Eye, for the lead work, but that's a "flashy Instrumental" CD... As well as Malmsteens, "Rising Force" which is a classic.

You probably don't consider this metal , but Dokken Back For The Attack. Killer lead work, plus Mr Scary was nominated for a Grammy - Best Rock Instrumental. Something that Ed has never done.

Flotsam & Jetsam: E.M.T.E.K. (not really a lead ripping song but the over all guitar work.. Very impressive.)

Tesla - Mechanical Resonance, The Great Radio Controversy, and Into The Now are great metal albums with some good lead work.
