Hey guys, it's only three weeks away so I thought this would be a good time to start this. I'm going to the Vai show at the Birchmere and was wondering if any bros are going and wanted to meet up before the show to put faces with names, etc.? HippieTim, are you going to drive up?

I would be more than willing to drive up I didn't get a ticket in time so if anyone has a ticket I'm there.

I live within a nice strolling distance of the Birchmere, and I wouldn't miss that show for the world! I just saw Allan Holdsworth at that same venue a few weeks ago. Interesting booking--that place typically hosts country and folk acts. Steve Morse plays there every tour because he's friends with the owner.

I've been really buried at work, so I didn't even know tickets went on sale. If they're still available, or if I can buy one from somebody, I'm definately down.

Does anyone know Dave Bebe, the former light guy from Jaxx? He's been working there for half a year now.

Pro - I agree, seems like an odd place for Vai considering the usual bookings.

That's what I get for waiting, though. I had a bad feeling this one was sold out when the Birchmere stopped listing this concert in its City Paper ad.

you have ticket brokers(buzzards)in virginia don't you?
they should be able to dead eye you into a good seat. you'll pay through the nose for it though.

None of the brokers seem to supply tickets for the Birchmere...believe me, I've checked. Since I've seen Vai before, it won't kill me if I don't catch him this time around, though it is a minor pisser...

Heads up, I may not be able to go to this (I'll know for sure by tomorrow). If not, I'll sell my ticket for face value ($40). The tix for this are will-call only, so we could meet there, I'll get the ticket, then do the deal. Throw your two cents in if you might be interested. Like I said, I'll know for sure tomorrow but want to give people a head's up.
