Doesn't Look Good for my Step-Mother

just got a call from my sister... my Step-Motehr is passing away. She had a stroke about 10 years ago and is now 88 so it isn't fully unexpected. She has double pnuemonia and is no longer eating it is just a matter of time right now and they are just trying to keep her comfortable. She helped raise me after my mother passed away ... Sad

Tetsuo, I am very sorry to hear this news. 88 is a long life and she is not suffering. You have that and the memories of her to help you through this tough time. You and she are in my thoughts and prayers.

Yeah thanks for the kind words.. It is expected it isn't a shock my big worry is about my Old Man his whole life has been taking care of my Step-Mom and he got rocked pretty hard when my Mother passed away. a Good thing is my sister lives right by him in AZ

I'm terribly sorry to hear this Tetsuo. Someone that cared for you like and wasn't blood family, is a truly outstanding and tremendous person. You were definitely blessed to have that type of person in your life.

Thanks again worry not about me too much I am somewhat callous to death having experienced a lot of loss at a young age I just worry about my Step Brother adn my old man... Tough times for them My siblings never grew up with her so it is a little different for them

TETS, i think that sucks. 88 is a good long life, my dad went at 86, but it still doesn't help soothe anything in the immediate. i'm sorry your mother passed away so young as well.

I'm very sorry to hear this, Tetsuo. I'm glad she isn't suffering, that at least is a comfort. Keep in good touch with your dad and stepbrother, hearing from you often may be the
help they'll need. If you can visit them for awhile that'd be even better, but I know when the distance is great that's not always possible. You will all be in my thoughts ad prayers.
