Re: Doesn\'t Look Good for my Step-Mother
you're right about talking to your parents jim. when my dad went down,he was in new york in the hospital, and douchebag charvel guy (me) was out on a bender for 3 or 4 days and i came home to 82 messages on my answering machine from my family saying where the fukk are you , dad's dying , get the fukk back here. the doctors could not believe that he was still alive, and my mom told the doctors that he was waiting for me, as i am the youngest of the eight children, and was his favorite. thankfully, i got on the next flight , made it back in time to take a cab straight to the hospital and get a good two hours alone with him , and i told him that he was a perfect father and how i wish i had acquired some of his greatness, and basically just how much i loved him and how he was always there for me no matter what trouble i had gotten into. and he was. he passed away about 2 hours after i left the hospital to go home and unpack and shower. he held on all those days in pain with no medication, he refused, just to say good bye to me. you are right TETS when you say talk to your parents, as much as possible. if i did not make it in time because of partying and did not get to tell him everything, it would be haunting me to this minute because of my selfishness at the time. hang in there jim.
