No we don't have "sliders", but we do have Whataburger
Even though I'm originally from Ohio, I got to Texas as fast as I could
I always try to grease it up at a White Castle when I travel up north. As a matter of fact, the last time I was in Chicago there was a White Castle right across from my hotel. Worked out really well for a late night snack
Ya know... you can make your own Shamrock shake! Here are two recipes, depending on how sober you want to remain.
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1-1/4 cups milk, 2% lowfat
1/4 tsp. mint extract
8 drops green food coloring
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Stop blender to stir with a spoon if necessary to help blend ice cream. Pour into 12-ounce cups and serve each with a straw.
<font color="green">Shamrock Shake</font>
1/2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Green Creme de Menthe
1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for 20 seconds. Pour into a chilled margarita or collins glass.
Good God, my left nut for another three dollar pitcher of Shiner Bock.
Anyway, just chiming in to point out to Sully that it isn't Texas. Dallas, maybe, but Dallas isn't Texas. For some folks, that is a good thing - for others, it is a reason to stay away from D.
I was on a Shiner kick for a while when I first moved to Texas, I got over it it after a while. Good beer but theres better tasting brews out there
