OK, it's been a few months since I last updated everyone on what I'm up to(and I KNOW how much you all care!)
Jordan, the other guitar player in my band, has left and we got a new member. We have a bass player named Dash who also plays in a band called Horse the Band. He is an excellent, professional bass player and I love having him in the band. He not only holds down the low end(not that I need any help there, thank you VHT), but plays his own complimentary bass lines and adds real depth to our music.
We have played two "shows" so far. One was a party at my house, the other was booked for a venue called The Loft in Ventura, but it got moved to a house. We got paid and got a great audience response anyways, so I'm happy. we were booked for another show, but it got cancelled due to double-booking. We have four shows coming up in April. Let me know if you guys are interested in going and I'll dig up fliers.
My band has four songs recorded for both a split 7" with the grind band "She's Dead" and possibly a demo. We are doing vocals this weekend, with both Kai and Kevin Fetus singing for us.
We had shirts made, but the doofus printed them upside-down, so we're gonna have to wait another week or so before we get our hands on them.
In other news I am working at Primitive Sound music in Burbank doing repairs. Two of my friends from Black Market decided the time was right to open their own store, and I am along for the ride. It's an awesome job. I hang out with musicians all day and play and repair vintage guitars. Plus I call my own hours and get treated as a brother there.
Sorry I haven't been updating you guys on what I'm up to(like I said, I know you care ), but as you can see my plate has been pretty full lately. Throw into the equation a couple of college classes and a crazy ex-lover, and you've got one busy Ace. I'll try and be more vigilant in the future.
