Looks like the force has a little more depth in this one finally than the typical eye candy for kids.
Lucas has always been about effects but I do not think I'll ever see a Star Wars that had impacted me as much as the first two.

This looks WAY better than the last two (Epis I and II), which I thought sucked, for the most part.

For those of us in a certain age group, the first movie in '77 was very influential. I know people who became artists and writers because of it. But, of course, we were little kids. I look back on the first movie now, and it's a silly little space opera, which was exactly how my dad thought of it at the time--and enjoyed it.

Sort of I think they mop up a lot of the holesthough the acting will be piss poor of course (Hayden) but the visuals are good. Will it be great? No but it will be a good watch no doubt

Lots of people are going to die, which is why I'm predicting it will be my favorite of the prequels. Not that that is saying much, since the last two sucked.

I can't believe Lucas let Hayden Christensen where the Vadar suit. David Prowse is 6" taller than him, which means we're getting a midget Vader for Episode III. [img]/images/graemlins/eviltongue.gif[/img]

It's Hollywood. You'll never notice the difference between Prowse and Christensen. Did you notice the difference between Jeremy Bullock and whoever was in the Boba Fett suit in the Special Edition of A New Hope??

I turned off the special edition of ANH when I saw Greedo fire first. I was so disgusted that I chucked the DVD out the window, so I haven't even seen the scene you are probably talking about.

I was able to spot the difference with Vader right away at the end of the trailer. He's not a monster absolutely towering over Palpatine like he was in ROTJ.

Thankfully, I still have the original versions of the first three movies on VHS. Should probably burn them to DVD.

Just watched the whole preview. Uh... Chewbacca? Please don't let them have a Li'l Baby Han Solo... PLEASE...
