Gold Moon I feel your pain. I hit a deer last Nov. with my brand new Suburban. It did what it was supposd to, kept my kids, my wife and myself safe and secure. But it still pissed me off.
Make sure you take your car to a good reputable body shop ask for references. I went to a Chevy dealership which I used to work for. They had to redo the body work twice, I got the body man fired, and it was painted 3 times. I told the manager that I used to work there in the 80s and I expected it to come out perfect. Sadly your headache is just beginning.
As far as insurance I would pay more to stay with a reputable company. I used to work for Allstate good company but expensive. I have State Farm been with them for almost 20 years I wouldn't change for anything. Great company, competitive rates.
