• BLS & Zakk kicked my ass last night!

Killer show! Zakk came out with the GMW Polka Dot V and played that for the first few songs...then played his Bullseye LP, his custom Dean Razorback Dime had made for him, an acoustic/electric (not sure of the brand), and then finished off with the GMW. It was a great show! Nick was played a couple Dean's (or Washburns...couldn't tell for sure) for most of the night as well, the Dime with the inverted cross on the upper wing, and the Confederate flag one. It was a great show...didn't get out til around 12:15am. He was shredding like a mofo...just insane! Had some of the guys from the Chicago Chapter come out on stage to drink and smoke cigars while he was playing his a/e. He also played "Mama I'm Comin Home" which was cool. Don't miss 'em when they come around!

It's not one of my favorites either. It's hard to find a good spot and retain it there.

I got tix for Philly, and just bought Mafia yesterday. I can't wait. I really don't get the whole chapter thing. Yea, BLS rocks, but I can't tell whether they have a fan club or a religion.

you guys don't like HOB? wow, i thought it was a great place to see a show. saw the last cult show (ever?) there, along with art alexakis of everclear. and played there once, opening up for harlow (vh1 band on the run finalist). always dug that place.

joel, not sure when i'm comin home, but yeah, i do miss a good beef sandwich. i can get em here, but they're not the same.

At least at Anaheim & Hollywood HOB, there really aren't a lot of chairs to sit in. You have to stand for the whole show. The sound system is great, a lot of great shows come through, but when it gets crowded it rather sucks.

The best HOB I've been to had to be Nashville and NAMM a couple of years ago. We were invited to the Fender VIP party by John Walker and McD and man, what an wesome time, show, etc!!! No problem on seating, but Setzer put on a hell of a show and the Fender guys were pure class that night, as usual!

I dunno, every time I see a show there I end up seeing more of the back of someone's head than I do the show. I actually prefer the Vic to any other clubs. And nothing is worse than the Double Door. I saw this one band there I think they were something like Reverend Love or something.

heh, yeah....i was there, too. rev luv sucked!
actually it was a relatively fun show, but it was VERY strange for me to play a show NOT as ace frehley. i had to have the silver sixx stripes as a security blanket, and i even caught myself doin the frehley stumble a few times!

the double door is cool, but man, even with that monitor cranked in front of me, i couldn't hear shit.

Rev Luv wan't bad, but I have never been able to enjoy a show at the DD. I dunno, it may be the overall vibe of the neighborhood. Always got the feeling that the Bucktown/Wicker Park folks thought that they were better because they were artsy or something.

i think the biggest kick i got out of that night was the fact that the DD was featured in one of my favorite movies ever, high fidelity.
