DVD to mpg?

I have some old Dokken videos on a DVD that I'd like to post for members of this site to view. Problem is the only format I have them in is on the DVD itself (.vob files I think).

Does anyone know of any easy way to re-format them as .mpg or something else that is a common format? Pinnacle only seems to be able to capture video directly from a digital camcorder, not from a DVD???

I think there are some program that you can convert DVD format to AVI or MPG for smaller files.
