  • Ever hear of a "guitarfish"?

    From the Chicago Tribune

    Can fish play air guitar?
A whitespotted guitarfish named Lucille (bottom), the Shedd Aquarium’s newest acquisition for the Wild Reef exhibit, is fresh from the northeast coast of Australia. The fish is named after B.B. King's guitar.

Never heard of 'em...you're gonna have to bring Skully down to the aquarium and get some pics with the fish!

I was watchin Fox News Chicago last night and caught that story.
They Described the Guitarfish as "nice" and "mild mannered".

The thing looks mean as hell to me.

Re: Ever hear of a \"guitarfish\"?

I've heard of garfish, but not guitarfish. So what qualifies it as a "guitarfish"? I guess you only need one flipper to play in Drop D...

Its shape. Related to the shark family, it is considered a ray and is a bottom dweller that will use its shape to burrow itself in sand.
