    Wold Wind software (NASA inside) Earth pics

    I have just bumped into this free software (150MB), a cool geography soft made with photos taken from satellites, whrere you can zoom on your own town (ok, its the public version, you can see from further away than what they can actually see).

    Try Keyhole from Google too, it's pretty amazing - you can zoom right in on your address.

        Doesn't Mapquest still have the satellite veiw?
        I was able to get pretty damn close (to where I could make out my house) with that.

          Powered by USGS imagery, nothin better. Unless someone else uses USGS imagery and then tries to sell it to you in a fancy software package [img]/images/graemlins/poke.gif[/img]

              [/ QUOTE ] I tried this and it shows what must be a very old pic of where I live. Buildings and houses are missing and roads have been built that aren't in the pic.

                  Terraserver is a great site!
                  Being a total aircraft nerd, I use it to check out USAF bases, to see what's parked about.
