Re: RIP John Paul II

I agree he was a great man. I watched a documentary on him last night and was surprised to learn that he insisted on meeting the man that shot him back in the 80's. The Pope wanted to let the shooter know that he had forgiven him for doing such an awful thing.

Very probably the holiest man to ever reign as Pope, now and forever. We will be lucky if his successor is half the man he was. Rest in peace, Holy Father, and thank you.

I don't believe in God, but I'm telling you one thing, he was a damn good man. Hopefully he's at peace.

psalm 23:
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Peace be with you, and the Grace of God watch over you JP2.

amen... I am no roman catholic, I'm what in the US might be called a methodist or something like that, but he rose above those names and was not really a pope for the RK church but for entire christianity in my opinion. I do not give him the same characteristics like being holy or something like that, but he was a GREAT man, a man of God and I agree that if the next pope is half the man he is, we have a winner

The Union of the SOSW send their sincere condolences and offer a temporary cease fire to the heavens so as to allow time to recover from this heavy loss

R.I.P. JP II, many will miss you, and may your successor be half the man you were....
