I was gonna pay to see the original Anthrax lineup since I've seen the rest of the guys on that tour already, but looks like I'm gonna save my money. This might actually be a good thing. Dave Mustaine has been running his mouth that he's got some great bands for a summer tour, so hopefully Anthrax will be on it.
I really like Mudvayne, one of the few bands that I really dig who plays that style of music. The bass player SHREDS and the drummer is awsome too. Don't like the vocals tho.

There ARE gonna be more tour dates than what's showing on the website, right? I'd hate to think that Charlotte is as close as they're gonna get to Eastern NC.
My future band shall be known as "One Samich Short Of A Picnic"!

"DAVE MUSTAINE'S 'GIGANTOUR' SET TO LAUNCH IN LATE JULY; DREAM THEATER, FEAR FACTORY, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN AND NEVERMORE CONFIRMED TO JOIN MEGADETH ON THE MAINSTAGE FOR SIX-WEEK NORTH AMERICAN TREK"
oop, didn't see that other thread
yeah, I gotta say... I'd love to see megadeth (although even that might be dissapointing these days..), and nevermore might be kind of cool, but none of the others really do anything for me all..
I saw megadeth when they were touring for rust in peace, so it's probably better that I never see them again and just remember them like that, heh.
I was ready to buy tickets to Ozzfest until I heard Maiden was dropping out for the last 7 tour dates! WTF! Velvet Revolver will fill in for Maiden on the last 7 tour stops (unless Wylan finds his way back to the methadone clinic he crawled out of). I'd like to see Arch Enemy, but standing around all day in 100+ degree weather isn't worth it IMHO.

You're probably better off waiting to see a 'real' Arch Enemy show, anyway. Most of the bands on the second stage at Ozzfest only get about 20 min., and AE will probably go on stage well before noon (which is too damn early for me!).
I saw AE on their USA headlining tour a year ago or so--they are pretty damned good live! You gotta see 'em in a club when you get the chance.
I like Mudvayne. I am totally looking forward to Ozzfest this year. This is the best lineup they have ever had IMO. Too bad no Pantera though.
