• Motorcycle battery problem.

I just pulled my battery to charge it, and noticed the fluid is not even halfway full. This is bad right? I am going to refill it with distilled water. Here's another dumb question: motorcycle batteries are 6 volt aren't they?
Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

They make both, 6 & 12. What kind of bike do you have?

Re: Motorcycle battery problem.

The one in my CBR929 was 12, and the one in my K1200LT is 12 also. I think maybe if you've got a 60's Brit bike it might be 6, but it's likely 12 otherwise. I thnk topping it off with distilled water should be fine. Some bike shops sell "battery water" which is distilled water with electrolytes. You might want to make a mental note to get a sealed battery if the current one ever dies on you, though
