• Took my daughter on her first motorcylce ride

I had my 6 year old daughter climb on my bike the other day, and lo and behold, her feet reached the pegs. That makes her a legal passenger. I just fired the bike up today (73 degrees here in Minnesota ) and we took a short ride to my mom and dad's this evening.

Here we are just heading out. I am not sure who was happier; her or me.

She really enjoyed it. Looks like I'll have to get her her own leather jacket; in the pic she's wearing mommy's.

That's cool .. I remember taking my daughter on her first ride.. she was so nervous.. but she ended up hooked on bikes ...
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

You're a good daddy to make sure you're both wearing helmets.

Yupper. Just bought it for her; I let her pick the color out. She's pretty proud, and grandma and grandpa made a big deal about it being her first ride so she'd feel "cool".

          It was a good moment.

COOL Honda! I ride also with motorcycle a lot but in Finland we have toooo long and cold winter...Well after two weeks I will be riding again My daughter is only 6 months old so it takes a while when she could ride with me. Enjoy the speed

I was wondering when I could take my son out on my bike. He is 5 years old, but he is 4 feet tall, so he's big enough. I would feel safer if he could sit in front of me though

We will be buying one of these soon:

                Buddy Belt

I just wanted to make sure she liked riding before I dropped money on one.

Nice bro, mine's been up the driveway is all, but she asks all the time...

Just wait a few years until she asks for her own bike. That'll test your parental fortitude!

I read the other thread about how bad the custom shop screwed up your bike. Bummer - they should take care of you for screwing things up that bad.

I had it out with them today, they really thought they were going to get one by on me, till I put a stop payment on the check... Then they said I was trying to get a free paint job, I told em to bring over the sand blaster and get this sh!t off my bike and I was embarrased to ride it... They didn't care for that comment, oh well, I call em like I see em...

I really need to find someone to do it, and quick!!! It looks like I'll be shipping some metal off to SIK Industries for a "SIK" paint job, we'll see, I'm hoping tho...

Thanks for the toast; I'm shaking myself up a birthday martini as I type this.

That sandblaster comment was f*cking priceless, dude. Good for you!

I'll be interested to hear if Mike Learn is able to help you out. Good luck.
