Um ..yeah .. Well if I remember correctly the last pope was against the war in Iraq and it still happened.
I think the church does have a certain amount of power but not what it's being made out to be.. if this were to be true they would certainly deal a lot harsher with the sinners of their world. .. they don't they just make rules that human beings refuse to completely follow ...
How many here abstain from sex before marriage, or don't use birth control for instance ...
The church retains a certain amount of comfort in its faith and no more than that .. It has been the single most corrupt organization for the last millenium all in the name of god...
It has not only tried to rule man it has stolen from,killed and raped people all in the name of god... and then done its best to hide it ...... They surround themselves in huge amounts of property surrounding themselves in gold and such ...It is all about the revenue ...
If you want to believe in god,satan or nothing the best thing to do is to carry your values within your heart and govern yourself as the best human being you can be..... stop giving them your money ....Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. I should have been clearer: AS AN EXAMPLE, If you are a World leader and drill for Oil or begin a war, you must get approval from the Vatican and PAY RESPECT.
Go against the Vatican and you will pay more respect later.Comment
