Re: rap Stripped down

When I saw Anthrax a few months ago (really there for DIO) Chuck D came out to do Bring the Noise with Anthrax, it was actually pretty cool.
Was I born to rock? Yes. That said, I still listen to a little bit of rap. It's so omnipresent among people my age, it's hard to get away from. Yea, most of it sucks. I think the "black music" argument is irrelevant. Wasn't the blues "black music", too? Where would Zep, Clapton, the Stones, etc etc be without that "black music".
Anyway, if you want to laugh your ass off, and hear some unapologetic low-rent white rap, that is not trying to be black (even has a song "It's Aight to be White") check out http://www.pimpdaddywelfare.com or download Elmo Pimps Hoes, Mr. T is a Bitch, Waffle Whore House, 3 asian girls and a bottle of vodka, the return of elmo,

Haha, got a point there.
There's one P-Funk (or maybe just George Clinton solo) song thats in GTA: San Andreas that has a solo with that classic bad early 90s gangsta rap keyboard sound, but it actually sounds pretty cool.

I'm the best slap / funk bassist on the board ...I guarantee that..Some Motown stuff was great!!

Louis Johnson was the man..!!!!

But just because I can play "Stomp" from the Brothers Johnson note for note doesn't require me to act "black"..

Yes, I listened to a couple. I thought it was lame. Personally I liked Straight Outta Compton. I used to listen to it constantly in the summers of 89 and 90 along with Public Enemy, Too $hort, Ice Cube, Ice-T, Eazy-E, Mr.Big, Yngwie, Lizzy Borden, and so on and so forth.

nwa was good and most of the member's solo albums are good. despite popular belief, mc ren did not die in a burning house! He's still kickin' it mad street style.

I accidentally stumbled upon Gangsta Gangsta. I was interested in because I didn't realize that GWAR's song The Salaminizer was a parody of it.
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking
