That would be cheating ............you already got the Yankee killer in Ortiz! Besides, we have to maintain our 200 million dollar salary.

You know, I think the starting rotation will come around once the bats start being more consistent. What I'm really worried about is our middle relief. The only good one we had was Sturtze, and he's on the D/L now. Everyone one else worries the crap outa me. Why we picked up Stanton is a mystery, cause he blows. I truly believe that Gordon is a Red Sox and has infiltrated the Yankee system. When he comes in to pitch, I already know what the outcome is gonna be, so I make sure none of my guitars are in reaching distance.

LOL. I used to think the same thing about Mendoza !!!
It's like George payed him to come here. I think that the the starting pictching has been a let down as far as what was projected. Johnson has been the only one to do ok, and even what i have seen is not typical Randy. Wright and Brown are a trainwreck waiting to happen, IMHO. Mussina is good but moose is always solid. Who's the 5th?
On the flip side i think Wells and Clement have been great. They had a couple rough ones but have settled down nicely. Bronson has been great and you know Schill will be Schill. Wake is Wake as well. He's a brilliant dude but has lost a bit. he can still throw nasty when he wants to though. I feel about him like i do for Bernie, as long as he wants a job with their prospective team, we give em the contract. It's a respect issue plain and simple. Glad to see tino back for you guys as well. He deserves to be a Yankee... and i mean that in a good way
There are players who earn that right. Yanks have a couple, Bernie, Jeter, Posada. Boston also, Wakefield, Nixon. But since George took over, the Yanks have been more of a transient team, from Catfish Hunter, Reggie all the way up to Randy, Giambi And Alex. George has been pretty succesful with his method. There was a time when not only Yank haters, hated Steinbrenner, but pro-Yanks fans also, including myself, but when you look back over the years he's owned the team, he's made me happy, at least.
Growing up in the Bronx, my idol was always Fred Lynn, even though I was a diehard Yankee fan. I can't say that too loud around here or I catch some sh*t.

whoever has given up on the yankees are fools. last years start was what? 8-11. this years start- 8-11.
this team is fukkin' stacked, watch them roll over the league as we go the rest of the way. and we will. i think you'll see kevin brown get stronger as well. if he stays healthy, watch out.

It's early, but I still think the Yanks will probably win the division by 15+ games. Baltimore scares me more though, but they lack the pitching.

Now I think your just trying to be funny .. so your saying statistically Boston,Toronto and Baltimore who are all playing well this year are ALL gonna tank bad at the end of the year....
Is it possible the yanks will win their division? Yes considering how Brenner tries to stack the deck . but it isn't going to be a 15+ game sweep ...
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes!~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~
