I'm a KISS fan from back in the day, but not to the point of wearing makeup & hanging out at the conventions. I'm friends with the promoter. He hooked me up with a VIP pass, so I went.
I met Bruce Kulick. He jammed with a non makup tribute band called SSG...They rocked. Bruce did a Q&A after the set. He talked about his guitar collection, and some old guitars he's had. He's had several stolen in the 12 years he was in KISS. The two in particular he said he wishes he could get back are "Old Charvels".
After that a full makeup tribute band played called "Mr. Speed". The guy playing Gene was about 320lbs [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img] ...kind of funny....big ole' gut hangin out. Their show was good, but they were far from being "tight". Overall, it was a good time.
