Some 13 year olds should stick to playing baseball and riding bikes with their friends. This kid is one of them. That was painfully aweful.

I don't mean to be a jerk about this--I realize the kid's only 13, but is this really that impressive? He seems pretty bad, even considering his age.

At the very least, he seems to be totally unaware of how sloppy and out of tune his playing is.

If he is 8 then he is REALLY good. Most 8 year olds don't have the hand strength, physical hand size nor the dexterity to pull even sloppy shredding off. I teach and IMHO, that kid is 13.... not 8.

And he's bad for 13? Christ i couldn't play with my nuts that well let alone play guitar. I didn't start playing until 19, 37 now and when i was 13 i sure as hell wasn't worried about guitar. Baseball and dirt bike riding was my life. I know kids start very early now. Look at Sullys student. 8 for gods sake. That just amazes me.
