You nailed mine. "Yous" makes my skin crawl everytime. The hillbillies in Baltimore use it constantly.

how about when people type "ne" instead of any? Nice one, buddy! Saved yourself a keystroke there!

Hey, neone want to buy my US Custom Shop Jackson Rhodes? I know it's Custom Shop cos it sez Professional on the headstalk (like what the Professional guitarists use) and none of the US axes on the Jackson site have such a light rosewood fretboard. I had to order it special last year so I could get a bolton handle (for better sustain) and it took 2 weeks for Guitar Center to get it in from the Custom Shop!

For some reason Gary's post made me think of one that just kills me every time I see it in an ad: "fret ware" or better yet "fretware" instead of fret wear.

I find it very annoying when people mix up brake and break.

"I have to get the breaks fixed on my car"

I hear these at work a lot:

sperscription or subscription instead of prescription.

All right = correct.
Alright = not correct, but some find it acceptable.

how about when people add soft c's to words that don't have 'em?

Negociate is one I often hear. I imagine people think they're pronouncing it more correctly by enunciating the C, but there isn't one!

i hate when people say the word genuine like it sounds like-

I worked at a muffler and brake shop for a couple years and I used to get people calling me on the phone asking me, "How much for a cadillac convertable?", and I would reply, "probably about 45 to 50 grand!". Why can't people say, catalytic converter? I really dispise stupidity!!!
