i'm back in the states........

hello JCFers,

well, i'm back in the states. and let me tell you from my experience that Iraq sucks!!!!!!! the weather gets finicky and the bugs will eat you alive. plus, the food got sucky now and then. the dust storms sucked as did the rain. and yes i saw the video that was posted about that bad sandstorm. in fact. i went to that base a few times while i was their. although they weren't far away, the dust had settled and the wind dyed down by the time it got to were i was. i did get to see one of the palaces formerly owned by saddam. marble everywhere. it was really a nice place. but nothing beats being back in the states. plus the wife is super happy i'm back. this was my first deployment as a married man and it sucked being away from my wife. we had gotten married only 16 days before i left. but enough of my babbling. hope everything is well with all JCFers.
