Shreddermon said pick one not a whole list of the greatest solo's Greatest SOLO

I can agree w/ Bill in the 80's you have Eddie, Randy and Yngwie. These 3 players in my opinion are the 3 most influencial players ever in rock guitar playing. If you go back further you have Hendix. Everyone else falls in the middle of those four cats.

Sorrow is amazing, specially on the PULSE live album, Gilmour owns.

I don't know if you have seen them live, but I saw them twice on the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour and it was just unreal...yes, Gilmour owns and has always been my favorite guitar player.

My 2 pennies lie in the 'Ryche's Jet City Woman Solo. it kills me! Either that or the dual solos in I Don't Believe in love or Eye of a Stranger, off of Mindcrime. those are my fav. 80's band solo picks!

I'd have to say Brad Gillis/Jaff Watson for Don't Tell me You Love me.

Yeah, that's a tour de force. And two completely different styles.

Great one, too. I've got that and "Della Brown" on a mix disk, just for the solos.

Mood swings....I'm taking lots of pills for this shit..

they're not workin'...none of them.

Let me say this , Explosiveness and the high capability to physically harm people is NOT a good combination....that is why I take pills...to numb me from people...I'm not numb enough..

when someone is "rude" to me or chllenge me , even if percieved...I go instantly into this friggin' "KILL" mode...it's pretty fucked up to be honest...but I'm workin' on it..I really am.....I seen 10 doctors so far and thousands of $$$ later ..and no relief at all yet!

so what can I say...Sorry for bursting...again!

I know this isn't healthy..but I have no control of it at times...it just consumes me.

Last in Line has a great solo in it.
BTW... I am a HUGE CC Deville fan myself. I pretty much like every solo he ever played in the studio. His solo's sound really easy until you try to play one. Talk Dirty to Me is a fairly complex solo to nail. He also plays with a total in your face super loud straight up tone.

The harmony solo he does with Kirk in Master of Puppets is cool. I think the only other solo I've ever heard him do is Nothing Else Matters, which actually is pretty good. Did he solo on anything else?
