He caught that thing 15 minutes away from me... That area of the river(s) is actually the "Party Cove of Alton/Grafton" used to ski up there quite a lot a few years back. Some big fish come out of there every year...

I think that fish is now in ( or on the way to ) an outdoor aqaurium in Kansas City, so he'll live, sort of...

the catfish died in transit to kansas city. they thought it was 25 years old. poor fish, lived that long on the bottom of the river. makes you wonder what else is lurking beneath. Scott

The one in the pic posted above held by two men was caught in Italy, a species of cat; Silurus Glanis. They apparantly can get as large as a man. The one in the link posted by Michael for the fish caught in Ill?, that was a little smaller and as mentioned, is a different type of species-which is known as a blue cat. Still a biggie @ 124lbs. Shame it lived that long only to get stressed out and die.
