Re: Boston fans - are \'ya getting nervous yet?

Man you are clueless. Who always starts these posts anyhow? But it's the Sox fans that hold the animosity? Right. Ask stupid questions and your going to get a stupid answer. Enjoy the season boys. And actually try to watch whats going on.
We must!
We must!
We must increase the bust!
The bigger the better!
The tighter the sweater!
The boys are counting on us!

I first want to applaud the Red Sox for winning the World Series. But 1 win does not make a dynasty. As I look at the Red Sox, I can see a team thats not great, not good, but mediocre.

Their World series win is attributed to a lucky streak at the end of last year that carried them to the wild card spot and on to the World Series, just like Arizona. It won't last, they're not a dynasty type team. They lack the players for that. Replace Millar, replace Mueller, jesus, get rid of Trot Nixon and rebuild. They tacked a "C" on the wrong man's chest. Varitek will disappear in a couple of years when they realize that they made a mistake and tacked a "C" on a man because of the thrill of the moment and not because of his leadership, and definitly not his talent. The "C" should have been tacked on the man who left for the NY Mets.

Pedro was Boston heart and soul, as much as I hated playing against him. He was comparable to Jeter. Jeter is not the best player on the team. Not the best hitter, not the best runner, not the best fielder, but....Jeter is the heart.

Mark my word, Boston was lucky, but congratulations on your 1st World Series win, but don't look anytime soon for the next one. There are too many teams better teams in the league to let that happen again, just like Arizona.

NY will most likely take the series.. won't be surprised if you sweep us with the way we've been playing.

Re: Boston fans - are \'ya getting nervous yet?

If you look at whats going on now, it would seem that NY should take the series, in the Bronx, Yanks hot, Boston cold, but what I'm being cautious about is, this could be a turnaround series that'll push the Sox back into the right direction if they win.

It's a whole different ballgame when those two meet. Doesn't matter who's hot or whose cold.

schilling is out until maybe mid july, that is the crusher.
arod is back to his old self, but the yankees need to take 2 of 3 this weekend to make a difference. i'm more concerned with toronto and boston more than baltimore. you just know the orioles are not gonna hang on.

Well us Ranger fans are putting that roll to an end

I was flipping back and forth beting the Rangers/White Sox and Yankee/Red sox games last night. Funky 6th inning in the Boston/NY game.

Today is another day tho Boston needs to get their act together, thats for sure. yeah lot of baseball to be played I know. But NY and Boston right now are going in opposite directions.
