Just finished this 'ol girl. Hope someone can appreciate her! This was a year long frame-off nut and bolt restoration. The car is now EXACTLY like it left the factory back in 1970. I thought these painting shots would be cool to post here.

Re: More paint and another piece of history rescue
'70 GOAT, sweet. My favorite year.
My first car was a '65. It was a restored cruiser when I got it. 389-4, A/C, 4 speed, 3.08s.
When I was done (I was a H.S. kid you know!) it ran 11.90s on a small shot, spinning through the first 3 gears. It wasn't a restored cruiser anymore.
This was, of course, back in the '80s when a '65 GTO was affordable and it wasn't a big deal to mod them...kinda like Charvels.
Wish I had it back. I have been into Fords for a while now, but there is just nothing like a 389-400-421 Pontiac motor.
MikeSleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.
