I'm a little shook up, think I got a head injury, and my arm feels fucked up. If I don't feel a bit better by morning, I'm going to go to the Dr or Hospital I think.

You should go today bro....don't wait till you can't move in the morning. Plus you said headache...could have a small concussion. I had a friend that was in a similar accident. Bumped his head and thought nothing about it. 2 days later he had an MRI and there was a small pocket of blood. Could have killed him if he didnt go. Better safe than sorry.....good luck

Get yourself to the hospital bro. You never know what damage may have been done. I was in a crash last year and didn't go straight to hospital, but ended there a couple of days later because I had banged my head and it got worse. Take care dude.

Damn fine advice, I was in that same boat about 4 years ago when a 12,000 lb moving van totaled my car. I walked away, with a few bumps, bruises and burns thinking I was totally fine. However, a few days later, everything went to shit, and I've been dealing with constant back pain for the last four years.

Go to the hospital and go now. No matter how you get there, go.

my full time job is a fire fighter / paramedic so i've seen my fair share of wrecks both minor and major do yourself a favor and carry your ass to the doctor/urgent care/ER whatever especially if you hit your head and your arm feels different. take the advice and go to the hospital-i was hit by a drunk driver and went to the hospital-via ambulance-i was told it was a good thing i came in because my neck got snapped in the wreck-i had to keep my neck in a brace had i not the doctros told me i could have had severe neck trama if i stayed at home and just moved it the wrong way.go get checked its not worth the wait by any means-hope you recover fully

I was driving to get my drummer for band practice. I'd been awake for all of ten minutes. I was at an intersection, I had a yellow light, and proceded through the light. A car smashed into my car.

He said he had a green light, and that I had a red light. I say I had a yellow light, and he had a red light. Cop says since there are no witnesses, no one is getting cited.

That said, the man said this,

"I know you weren't speeding, I saw you behind the other car, you were about 2-3 car lengths away."

My thought is, if you saw me a few car lengths away from him, EVEN IF I HAD A RED LIGHT WHICH I DID NOT, why did you proceed through, into smashing my car.

He says

"I was looking down, and then I looked up to see a green light, so I went".

My thought is, you must have really fucking punched it to make my car do a 540 degree turn.

He says how it's my fault. How is it my fault, to go through a yellow light, and get smashed by some shit bag.

I'm not too worried about injury, I think I'm okay. I just smacked my head, and I'm a little sore, could be because I about killed my body working out the day before, or because I was smashed into. He wasn't going too fast I guess, my air bag didn't deploy, and I only have a bruise on my arm.

Why does this shit happen to people who did nothing wrong?

hey horns, you were cop before IIRC, so you've probably done traffic things before.

Tell me, my side is fucked, the guy hit me with his front end. No witnesses, I'm saying it's yellow light I went through, he's saying he had a green light. Cop said he cannot give anyone a citation because there were no witnesses.

Is it pretty much up to my insurance company to fight it out with his?

If I may.. I believe yes. I was broadsided on my right side during a left turn when I had a green light and they had a red, but they just didn't look when taking a right turn and merged right into my lane. (I actually thought she had to be seriously distracted not to see me becase she left her lane and merged right into mine-and me) Sounds like this guy was distracted and admits it, but is trying to shift blame to you with the lights story, which I think is common.
The chick who hit me tried the same tactic by trying to make me think I was turning on a red.
They'll likely assign fault based upon the facts and the evidence. Just based upon the fact he hit you and didn't take action to avoid hitting you, and where he hit you, I'd say hes going to bear the brunt of the fault despite his claims. Stay firm to your story.
