Canon XL-1

Does anybody here use one? have one? want to sell one?
I have been gass'n for one of these for a few years now but they are still REALLY expensive used. Are the XL-1's and the XL-2's really as good as everybody says they are? I want one to professionally film sports for training films.

Got any links to raw (unprocessed) amateur video footage of those (non-porn)? I'd like to see what kinda quality they have out of the box and how much post-production work they require.

I've been doing training videos at work with an older JVC home camera. It does pretty good, but I know there's better out there (for more $$$).
