Listen up you primitive apes! See this? This is my boom stick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

I used to work in the NRA Building in Fairfax, VA. I had a shirt that said 'If they outlaw guns can we use Swords?' Everyone there loved it.

Gun control=two hands on the weapon and feet set apart.

Yes I'm Canadian... but I totally disagree with gun ownership. It's way too easy for guns to get into the hands of the wrong people and end a life by rage or accident (I don't mind police having them). Things would be much better if people defended themselves with their mind or their fists.

To some extent legitmate gun owmers are partly responsible for guns getting in the hands of criminals. They are not home 24/7. Both my Dad and my uncles got their weapons cache stolen while they were on vacation, alarm systems and all

I do agree that gun education and saftey are key but even with education the world is fool of stupid fools....

Re: Handguns...a new hobby?

I have been into guns since I guess '82 when I bought my first cheap rifle. A M16 knockoff made overseas. Since then I have picked up a few more.

Colt Gold Cup National Match .45acp
Ruger Vaquero .45 LC
Glock 22 .40 my off duty piece
Glock 17 9mm
Desert Eagle .44 mag (old one)
S&W 586 .357 (was my mothers, now mine since she passed)

Colt 6700 Hbar (about 10 years old never fired, in the box)
Remington 870 WingMaster 12ga pump
Marlin .22 rifle (was my dad's, now mine)

Responsibility is the key to safe gun ownership. I keep mine locked up in a cabinet all the time.

Re: Handguns...a new hobby?

It's unrealistic to think handguns will ever disappear from the scene in the US, and more emphasis on education and conforming use permission would be better than trying to band handguns. Imagine some nutjob goes off with a weapon in a public place, but a couple of armed citizens with carry permits take him out before he can massacre 20 people. Wouldn't that be a good thing? If they could count on someone in the crowd drawing down and stopping them, such nuts would be less likely to go off the deep end. Where's the glory in whipping out your pistol and getting aerated by honest citizens before you can pull off your psycho massacre? An embarrassing thought for your would-be annihilator...
