what does he say? dime wasn't alive when he got the guitar. it was presented to zakk at namm. they had a razorback prototype at the namm show, and those finishes look amazing in person.

i don't think it's an import, i believe it's a custom shop model. ...that is, unless that means korea. i don't really know much at all about the dean stuff. other than the fact that the guitar is cool as hell.

I heard (on this forum) that floyd models are done overseas only, and the USA ones are only TOM bridges..

Thats right, he said something like...

Dime: "Don't worry dude, you're going to love it". Then like you said Zakk recieved it after Dimes death at winter NAMM.

If someone else could make out what Zakk said please tell. I was struggeling to understand what Zakk was saying cuz that mutha was feelin no pain at the time! [img]/images/graemlins/toast.gif[/img]

Zakk is playing a custom shop version from the US right there. The Rust Razorback (the expensive and beautiful as F*ck version) is USA and has a floyd while all the others are imports.

That is true but in this case I think that Dean himself handled this one and Dime had specially ordered this one direct from Dean to specs as a present for Zakk I believe this is a "rare" Exception Floyded model

Actually...Rita (Dime's girl) and Dean presented the Razorback to Zakk at the Dean booth at winter NAMM (upstairs). I've seen some pics from one of the guys who was up there for the presentation. They pulled the case out, Zakk opened it...on the back of the headstock, Dime had a message for Zakk...Zakk flipped the guitar over and read it with tears in his eyes, looked up to the ceiling and blew a kiss to Dime with a message to him. No pics were taken at that point out of respect....it was really cool because a bunch of us were standing on the floor looking up to Zakk as this was happening....

How does Zakk Wylde get by with playing different company guitars even though hes endorsed by Gibson? Must be a good contract for zakk [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
