Ohhhhhhh. Tough one. A Firebird and an Explorer. Specifilcally my Korina Jackson Explorer. The Firebird I would either keep one of the ESP's I have or have one built. Korina would be the wood though. Love the tone of Korina.

The original post didn't mention that you actually had to own the 2 guitars. In that case I want to change my choices (even though my 1st 2 choices I don't own either)

I'd need one guitar for regular tuning and other for in D.
All the Power Metal I listen to use Tune in D so I need one guitar for that.

Between those 2 I get almost all of the tones I need.
