guitar sound - muse and white stripes

unlike most of you (i am guessing), i like what is going on in white stripes - blue orchid and i also like what i hear in muse - stockholm syndrome. I believe muse is using a zvex fuzz factory. anyone have any idea how the sound on blue orchid is achieved?

Jack is kind of the anti gear guy and if asked probably wouldnt tell. I like both songs you mentioned although the guy that sings for muse sounds a bit like Thom York.
