Re: Classic Yngwie

Great clip, thanks for sharing that.

Yngwie is a legend and one of the all time greats. I'm still amazed by how effortless it looks to him - even with his much fatter fingers he moves those sausages around like it's nobodys business.

PT/Uniballer... y'all are killin' me! Sausages.... Ya know, I think Yngwie wouldn't catch as much hell as he does if he didn't dress exactly the same as he did 15-20 years ago. I mean, he wears that lil' jacket exposing his "Dunlap Disorder". No one wants to see that wigglin' on stage.

I watch his G3 performances with my seven year old daughter, all the time. She loves it when he throws the guitar around his neck and keeps on ripping just as the neck his his hands. I love that move.

I bought her a daisy rock to learn on and she stands in front of her mirror and kicks up her leg like Yngwie. She's even thrown picks at me.

That's hilarious! My 6 1/2 year old son has a Rogue mini-Strat. I need to teach him the Yngwie leg kick!

Several years ago, Guitar World had an Yngwie article where they demonstrated his "around the world" trick with photos. I've never had the guts to try it, especially with a guitar I care about.

man, last year I did the Yngwie around the world trick, the straplock screw popped out of the guitar and the guitar landed to the stage. It was cool, real rock'n'roll.

ahh man throwing the guitar around the neck is easy when you get the bottle to do it.i used to do it with ease both directions in one of the bands i was in-the singer fucking hated it as i nearly hit him in the face with the body as i showed off during band practise with friends looking

Justin, do you have any clips of you doing Malmsteen? I bet it would sound righteous on that blue Strat of yours.

Yngwie's playing is so effortless it almost looks like he's playing air guitar. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. He totally dominated on the G3 tour.

Yep. I saw them live in Minneapolis. I also saw him live by himself here also but he did not sound very good at that particular show.

Last time I saw Yngwie in Mpls was when he warmed up for Dio-which wasn't a bad show, far more energetic than Dio's but Craig Goldy was solid.

That deli spread crack and the pic were worth the thread reading in itself.
