What the fuck? I'm really beginning to hate FireFox. It just took me to a whole new forum when I hit the submit button. It wasn't event he JCF forum! It was a gaming forum that my friends are on sometimes.

Back on topic now: Dammit, I really wanted to see that particular line-up! I was hoping to see them at Ozzfest this August. Oh well, Gus is a really kickass guitarist. I hope he can pull of Chris's solos okay. I don't think it would be a matter of ability as it would be sitting down and studying the solos. God knows there are a lot of riffs I could play that I just don't want to take the time to learn.

Makes me kind of nervous that there is a couple in our band. I don't think it'll ever be a problem. They've been dating for two years and have not fought once. What is it with the vocalists and keyboardists? Always gotta fuck somebody in the band it seems.

This sucks...the whole cool thing about Arch Enemy was watching the Amott bros...those guys are tight...

Gus G is cool...but it is NOT the same....he didn't write that shit with his bro....but I bet he'll do a decent job...

Gus G is from ...several bands...the most like AE is his Nightrage...which probably helped him get the gig with AE...but he is also in Dream Evil...Firewind...and Mystic Prophesy..

Cris was never an item with Angela...that was Mike..

Cris's other band Armageddon is fucking awesome!

Mike Amott's ...70's stoner rock band Spiritual Beggars is cool too..

well not to take away from Gus G...but I much prefer to see Chris Amott...I like Chris' playing MUCH better....he has better "feel" than Gus...to my ears..

WTF!! i love Chris' playing in Arch Enemy, every solo he's played i've frigging loved. Sucks major ass!

i've heard some of Gus' stuff, not bad, but i prefer Chris.

As good a Gus G may be...I personally thing that Chris Amott smokes his ass in every possible way...but that is my opinion...
I like Gus's solos...but he hasn't impressed me that much in his song writing abilties...probably why he's such a band whore...trying to find some.."identity" i guess..

yeah Gus is cool...but he ain't shit compared to some that I know about...

dudes, you MUST remember if they shred...I know them...I know and have it ALL..

and Gus G is NO ..Magnus Karlsson , Roy Z , or Ralph Santolla , or Olaf Lenk , Jeff Loomis , Chris Broderick , Victor Smolski , Tore Otsby...and many more for that matter...but he's making quite a name for himself...and that is cool for him..I support him buy buying all his stuff...just like anyone that is worth a damn ..

I have ALL of Gus's stuff.....I knew about that fucker as soon as he hit the scene with the first Mystic Prophecy albulm..around 1999 or so..

If there is any player that smokes out there ...you better damn well believe that I'm aware ...and have it.

I make Mike Varney look like a fucking chump...I know this!

When I heard this news yesterday I nealy lost it. I'm a huge Gus G freak and make it my business to have everything he's played on. Sad to see Chris go but I'll finally get to see one of my favorite modern shredders live.

Chris is very overlooked. He not only has chops and great feel but, he can write very hooky metal.

I think you have to be familiar with the Armageddon stuff to appreciate Chris's ability...He even has a good melodic voice. His lyrics have a bit of cheese but for those who don't like the AE vocal style you may like the last two Armageddon recordings.

Ralph blew butt nuggets with Iced Earth last they toured. His playing was complete slop.
