ok, here's the deal.
today i asked my mother to get me some things from the next bigger guitar store, namely 4 preamp tubes (all 12ax7, from electro harmonix, sed, jj, and sovtek) as well as a matched quad of SED EL34s and a 30ft guitar cord (i said a normal priced one should be around 20-30 euro. i'm mainly using a wireless and the cord is just for backup purposes. besided, the high end stuff can't be heared in a live situation anyways)
now, i would have bough the stuff myself but the nearest bigger store is around 100 km away, and she had to drive to that city anyway.
i thought that a reasonable price would be like 35-45 euro for the preamp tubes, 60 euro for the poweramp tubes, and 20-30 euro for the cord, summing up to about 120 euro.
now, she came home, and told me it was a total of 200 euro. i was like, wtf, why? and here's it
they sold here 4 groove tubes ecc83, 18,95 euro each, as well as TAD el34 tubes for 86 euro and a SIGNATURE klotz guitar cord for 40 euro, telling her that i wanted only junk tubes, "chinese crap" to be precise, as well as that the cord would be "top notch" and in general that it doesn't make any sense to buy tubes of four different brands.
my mother knows absolutely nothing about guitar stuff, and they ripped her off as much as they could.
i'm gonna return the stuff next week, and i will never ever buy anything from that store.
