But the guiltiest person in this entire circus was the MOTHER of the kid.
She set the whole thing up. She is the CRIMINAL here.

Yep... Definitely one of the people that need to pay for sure... F-ing parents out to make a buck at the expense of their kids well being. THEY need to fry in a special hell.

Fact is they found child porn in his house which,As Gary glitter can attest too, should land you in prison.I guess he wasnt charged with that, but he sure as hell shouldve been.
I believe that where there's smoke, there's fire. You dont pay a kid 20 MILLION because you had a sweet nice innocent night of milk and cookies in your bed, unless thats a metaphor for your johnson.I think this kid got molested, and i think its a shame that the case wasnt made strong enough to make this right. And how did a juror get in there when someone in her family is a convicted child molestor?
I dont know, but this sickens me very much.
Michael Jackon likes to dunk his PP in Milk..not cookies..

This has come up on a couple of occasions on some guitar discussion boards and it's pretty amazing to me to hear the number of folks that will overlook the fact that Pete Townshend freely admits that he fiscally contributed to child pornography businesses but are very quick to condemn Michael Jackson without his admittance or a conviction - they just "know" Michael did it.

I knew he was gay, but i didnt hear about this. That is sick as well.I knew there was a reason i didnt like the who.I thought it was the music, turns out i was wrong.
I thought the talent in the who...was Entwistle and Moon...mostly Entwistle..Pete was lame to me...yeah he wrote some classics...but that was just a lot of drugs and a lot of luck...and timing..timing was important back then...Daltry wasn't that good a singer...IMO.
If Pete Townsend is a pedophile..I think he should be dead..
all pedophiles , murders , rapist ...all of them if guilty should be exterminated on the spot..poof gone!
"civil" rights should be exclusive to "civil" people..

No but you'd pay a kid $20M if his mother was going to drag you through the mud to the point that it would absolutely and forever destroy your wholesome (as perceived by many many of his fans) image and destroy whatever chance you might have of restarting a career that has in the past generated much larger sums than that. You’d simply take a look at your finances at the time and ask whether the negative publicity going forward was likely to cost you more than the sum the kid’s mother was trying to extort from you. Settling that sort of thing and formally sweeping it under the rug was likely a purely financial decision and probably a good one when it was made.
There’s also the fact that any criminal defense attorney would have told him that should enough allegations fly that a criminal prosecution would be likely and that Michael would, if he lost (of which there’s always a real chance whether one is guilty as sin or wholly innocent), be spending most or all of the rest of his life as some hairy biker’s boyfriend … if he were very lucky. Suppose you were told that and told that there might be a 10-20% chance of that happening. Would you cough up a few percent of your net worth to make the problem go away? I sure would because the downside should it come to pass however unlikely it may be, is infinitely worse than having to make the payoff.
Point being that the earlier payoff isn’t necessarily indicative of there being anything untoward happening in Michael Jackson’s bedroom. That whole “where there’s smoke there’s fire” line of though is absolutely asinine and runs completely against the grain of the one basic premise that has always been the bedrock of our criminal justice system, “Innocent until PROVEN guilty.” I’m far from being a liberal but I’m always stunned by the number of people who would try, convict, and often execute their fellow citizens in the most questionable of circumstances based solely on reports from a media that has shown nothing if not its own propensity to lie, distort, and misrepresent even the most trivial issues for its own gain.

I didn't follow this one closely at all but it sure seems like a case of a DA trying to make a name for himself by stringing up a celebrity. The case was pretty flimsy from the get-go and most knowledgeable folks said it had completely fallen apart before the defense even put on their side. The person who most needs to take a fall here is the DA who’s had a hard-on for Jackson for a decade or so now and has been champing at the bit to try to put him away.

+1 and the sad fact of the matter is that it vaporized millions of dollars of tax money. what a waste. michael jackson is a freak, but he was obviously set up. he may be guilty, but this wasn't the case to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
i am glad he was found not guilty. he's a freak, but the evidence was weak. it gives me some faith in humanity that he wasn't railroaded for being a freak.
GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

If you know your innocent and have moral fortitude, youd rather prove them wrong then pay off someone.I guess to you that if it stinks like shit, smells like shit, and feels like shit, it still doesnt mean its shit. Give me a break. And yes, a 46 year old man sleepeing in the same bed as a 12year old that isnt his own kid is WRONG!Plain and simple. You see all these kids getting taken by molsetors and killed.WELL, these guys were convicted before and let go.Those kids would still be alive today if these sick perverts were kept in prison.Michael is the same beast and deserves the same fate.
